Conflict of Interest

Conflict of Interest searching in LawTime is simple, easy and fast. Fast because the conflict system in LawTime includes an inverted file with each word of the conflict names indexed.

• Automatic posting to conflict of interest names from client, matter and address maintenance as well as from the matter user defined fieldsso that you do not have to enter the names twice.
• Inverted File makes conflict searching very fast. Each word in the conflict names is included in an index which can be searched quickly.
• Conflict reports can be sent via e-mail in PDF format.
• Conflict search is integrated into the client and matter search to provide easy searching for clients and matters.

Retainer/Trust Accounting

Trust Accounting is fully integrated into the LawTime programs. Trust receipts are entered into the system in the Cash Receipts program. Trust checks are entered and printed in the Accounts Payable system.

• Full integration of trust accounting allows entry of trust cash receipts in the standard cash receipt program and entry and printing of trust checks through the accounts payable program.
• Special "Retainer" trust account can be set up so that funds are automatically applied to invoices when they are generated.
